REMOTE TESTIMONY

The Bison Child & Advocacy Centre is equipped with specialized equipment that allow them to offer Remote Testimony from their Centre in the town of High Level, Alberta. 

One of the main concerns reported by victims is fear of running into the accused outside the Courtroom. It is hoped that this will assist in reducing the stress and trauma associated with attending the Courthouse in person, or running into the accused the day of Court.  

This is a safe, welcoming and comfortable space within the Bison office that allows them to appear virtually. Having a space such as this in the High Level area has also been valuable for many of our partner agencies. With Court approval, victims living in our area(s) have the ability to testify from The Bison Centre office vs having to travel outside the area to attend Court or connect with the Crown.
